About this design

This is the commercial licence for the design: the same files, with the right to sell the items you stitch from it yourself, in any quantity, in any shop or market. The files themselves stay with you and may not be shared or resold.

A grizzly stands in a shallow creek, head turned to you, a sockeye salmon pinned under its near front paw. The coat is stitched in four fur tones, from the pale crown and face ruff down to the dark legs and belly, and every patch of fill runs with the direction of the hair, so the bear reads as fur and not as flat colour. Pale hooked claws, amber eyes with a catchlight, two grey boulders and running current lines finish the scene. There is no background: the fabric shows everywhere the scene does not.

It was digitised for real fabric: no stitch over 7 mm, every jump trimmed and at most 3.3 thread layers anywhere, so it sews flat on a medium woven with tear-away, or on a knit with cut-away. For jacket backs, tote bags, pillows, flannel shirts and framed hoop art.

Stitch it at the size it was made for: stitch files do not scale cleanly past about 10 percent. Hoop with tear-away on stable wovens and cut-away on knits, and stitch a test piece first.
